Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through professional management, best practices, innovation, and investment.  

Position Overview: 
The Memphis Redbirds are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented sales professional that will be instrumental in building the ticketing strategy from the ground up and creating the foundation to surpass short-term and long-term ticket revenue goals, attendance goals and retention goals. The Manager, Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the Director, Ticket Sales.  

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales of new Full Season, Partial Season and Mini Plan packages both individually and for the Membership side of the department.
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals for Season Tickets
  • Manage and lead a team of sales professionals, setting goals and monitoring performance through daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions with sales reps.
  • Establish strong relationships with Season Ticket Holders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Represent the team at community and sporting events to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Input data and maintain current data within the CRM system to grow established relationships and generate new leads.
  • Implement, demonstrate and lead your Account Executive team in outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture, and personal database management.
  • Ensure you and your reps provide a superior level of customer service to existing and new business clients. You should underpromise and over-deliver to fulfill the best experience possible in the ballpark leading to high renewal rates.
  • Collaborate with management, marketing, and promotions team to create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas, and programs as a means of producing new business sales opportunities.
  • Create and contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members.
  • Provide daily or weekly sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to being on-call to pull tarp and set-up Saturday/holiday fireworks and work other events at AutoZone Park as necessary.

Competencies:
  • Proven ability to lead a team of Account Executives
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the department and team.
  • A Working knowledge of ticketing systems, PowerPoint, and CRM systems is preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in ticket, group, season, suite, or sponsorship sales; sports and entertainment industry experience preferred.
  • Looking for a leader who is personable, hardworking, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented to become a valuable member of our sales team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, basic computer skills, project management, and inter-personal skills necessary.
  • Willing to engrain themselves in the community through networking and relationship building
  • Minimum three business based relationship references available upon request.
