Position Overview:
The Coordinator, Digital & Social Media Marketing is responsible for the oversight of all the Memphis Redbirds website assets, social media accounts and e-mail blasts, as well as playing a role in marketing strategy decisions and execution regarding paid digital and social media advertising budgets. This position will report to and work closely with the Director, Marketing in developing a digital marketing strategy, including Redbirds web assets and external marketing spends. The Coordinator, Digital & Social Media Marketing will also play a role in internal project management.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Oversight and management of all Memphis Redbirds web assets. 
  • Strategic oversight of all Memphis Redbirds social media accounts with a focus on growth & engagement through the creation of unique content. 
  • Build e-mail marketing and other digital campaign schedules to enhance data collection and database growth. 
  • Work closely with department leaders to curate and maintain website content, including Ticketing, Partnerships, Events, Foundation, Team Store, etc. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute changes to website content and images. 
  • Monitor and track the progress of social media and other digital campaigns. This includes monitoring and analyzing web analytics and searching for trends in the customer experience. 
  • Review and assess content to ensure conformance with platform requirements, title tags, meta descriptions, and other SEO best practices. 
  • Ensure the website is following SEO best practices and make suggestions for improvement. 
  • Monitor other MiLB websites for changes, features, and functionality that we may want to implement ourselves. 
  • Assist in developing a full digital marketing strategy, including paid social media, SEM, programmatic/display ads, and other external advertising spends. 
  • Assistance with internal project management. 
  • Provide support for targeted email marketing campaigns, including graphic design, copywriting, and testing/sending marketing emails. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Website management experience
  • Google Analytics and Google Ads certification
  • Experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies
  • Knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Graphic design & other content creation experience
  • Experience in using MailChimp, Constant Contact or other email marketing platforms
