The Louisville Bats are currently looking for a Visiting Clubhouse Manager. The Bats are the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fastpaced, energetic environment and be willing to work varied hours. Candidates must be able to work every scheduled home game of the season. The position reports to the Home Clubhouse Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Visiting Clubhouse Manager, you will be directly responsible for the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel:
Job Responsibilities:
In-Season
· Help with inventory and distribution of all uniforms, jerseys, caps, accessories, and other team related items.
· Assist with the management of baseballs, bats, and other baseball related equipment.
· Cleaning team uniforms, personal laundry for on-field personnel, and towels on a daily basis.
· Shopping for clubhouse snacks, toiletries, and other clubhouse items.
· Cleaning, vacuuming and sanitizing clubhouse, manager’s office, coach’s office, training room, trainer’s office, weight room, shower, dugout and restroom facilities inside the clubhouse area.
· Cleaning and polishing one (1) pair of shoes per player, coach, and manager per day
· General availability for errands, etc., at all times commencing with the team’s arrival and lasting until post game departure
· Coordinating and assisting with both home and visiting team arrival and departure
· Stocking the dugouts and bullpen areas with water, Gatorade (or equivalent), seeds, gum, and cups
· Stock toiletries in the bathrooms and shower areas
· Providing the trainer with towels during the game
· Coordinating the delivery, staging, and clean-up of meals served to players and staff
· Stocking standard clubhouse amenities (e.g., towels, beverages, snacks, toiletries, etc.) in the Visiting Clubhouse
· Manage visiting clubhouse assistants
· Ensuring the clubhouse maintains a clean and organized appearance
· Adhere to all PDL protocols put forth by MLB
Off-Season
· Work with operations and events departments
· Set up various special events including Halloween, Festival of Trees and Lights, Breakfast with Santa
· Assist with offseason projects i.e. painting, light drywall patchwork, winterizing the ballpark, etc.
· Set-up clubhouses for tours
· Work as an extra hand for special events on nights and weekends as needed
· Have reliable transportation to and from the stadium
· Possess a valid driver’s license
· Lift up to 60 pounds
· Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· Adhering to all policies and procedures set forth by the Louisville Bats, Cincinnati Reds, and Major League Baseball.
· This position at times will require an irregular work schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and any other times as the scheduled dictates.
· Be able to work all seventy-five (75) home games and any playoff games
· Experience as an assistant or head clubhouse manager is preferred
