PA Announcer Job Description 
Part-Time
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the official game-day voice for the Louisville Bats during select home games.  
  • Announce player introductions, starting lineups, in-between-inning activities, acknowledgements, and spur of the moment activations. 
  • Deliver sponsor messages, promotional announcements, and special recognitions clearly and enthusiastically. 
  • Work closely with the Manager of Game Day Promotions & Programming and the Director of Marketing to ensure accurate and timely announcements. 
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and energetic tone that enhances the fan experience. 
  • Adapt to live-game situations when necessary. 
  • Ability to take direction well and work collaboratively with the Manager of Game Day Promotions & Programming and the Director of Marketing. 
Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience as a PA announcer, broadcaster, or public speaker (preferred but not required). 
  • Strong vocal presence with clear articulation, enthusiasm, and energy. 
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy, fast-paced environments. 
  • Strong knowledge of baseball rules, terminology and timing is highly preferred. 
  • Must be available for scheduled home games (primarily evenings and weekends). 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

  • Professional broadcast tone with the ability to add excitement and energy appropriately. 
  • Strong attention to detail and timing. 
  • Adaptable and composed during unexpected changes or live-event curveballs. 
  • Be team-oriented, have a positive attitude, and have a passion for enhancing the fan experience! 
  • Comfortable being the authoritative voice of the ballpark while maintaining vocal energy. 
  • Have fun while working!
