Louisville Bats Merchandise Internship 

Job Summary:
The Louisville Bats are offering an internship opportunity for a current college student with an interest in merchandising. This internship will help gain knowledge in merchandise management, inventory, and sales. It will also provide students with immersive, hands on learning to help position them for a career in sports, entertainment, and event industry upon graduation. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for operating a cash register in our retail store during game days, non-game days, and weekends
  • Assist in merchandising functions including store display, inventory receiving, and stocking merchandise.
  • Responsible for handling and responding to guest questions and requests.
  • Assist with online orders and maintain proper inventory levels as needed and assigned.
  • Monitor the accuracy of transfers, damages, and guest returns to maintain the integrity of the inventory.
  • Responsible for keeping up with the cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Complete daily store procedures including opening and closing procedures, refunds, exchanges, and voids.
Required Skills: 
  • Retail experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift/carry up to 25 pounds
  • Climb ladder/step ladder
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours based upon business needs
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Compensation Options:
  • Internship may be used to fulfill class credit requirements or completed as a paid internship
  • Compensation will be paid as an hourly wage
