Mascot Performer (Part-Time)
Louisville Bats Buddy Bat
Candidates must reside in or be able to commute to Louisville, Kentucky.
Responsibilities:
- Perform as the Louisville Bats official mascot during select home games.
- Create and deliver engaging, family-friendly entertainment that aligns with the team's brand personality.
- Interact positively with fans of all ages through skits, dances, comedic moments, and spontaneous interactions.
- Participate in skits, on-field promotions, and video content for social media.
- Represent the team professionally and enthusiastically at community events, school visits, and sponsor activation.
- Maintain confidentiality of the character's identity to preserve the magic for fans.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in promotions, performing in costume and customer service preferred. College mascot experience is a plus.
- Ability to improvise and create spontaneous entertaining performances.
- Ability to dance, move energetically, and convey emotion through body language.
- Must be comfortable performing in front of large crowds and engaging with the public.
- A believer in creating exceptional experiences.
- High level of athletic ability, stamina, and physical coordination (dancing, running, etc.)
- Physically able to perform in a full-body costume for extended periods in varying weather conditions, often with restricted vision.
- Flexibility working nights and weekends.
- Due to costume sizing, candidate must be at least 5 feet 8 inches and no more than 6 feet 2 inches.
- Ideal candidate should be in good physical condition and highly energetic.
