2026 Premium Seating Associate Curriculum
Louisville Bats Baseball Team:
The Louisville Bats are the Class Triple-A baseball team, affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds, which competes in the International League. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in Minor League Baseball and the sports industry. This internship will provide you with a greater understanding of not only Ticket Sales, but a general look at many different aspects of the Bats organization, including partnerships & sponsorships, marketing, radio, media relations and customer service.
Position Summary:
The Suite Hospitality/Premium Seating Intern works directly with Hospitality & Ticket Sales Staff. During the internship, the intern will be afforded the opportunity to develop and apply skills in various areas including but not limited to premium ticket sales, customer service, building client relationships, and organizational growth. You will also gain experience and knowledge with the ProVenue ticket system.
This part-time internship is eligible for class credit and will take place through the duration of the 2026 Bats season. Position will start in FEB of 2026 (Start Date Flexible) and report directly to the Director of Ticket Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Learn the daily functions of the Bats Premium sales process including suite hospitality and premium seating.
- Cultivate dynamic working relationships with current and new clientele.
- Research and build a network of suite and premium seating leads.
- Support the Ticket Departments throughout all stages of the sales process.
- Serve as a gameday service liaison for Luxury Suites and premium seating areas.
- Assist with creation of sales collateral.
- Assist customers with menu planning for nightly suite rentals.
- Work additional Bats and non-Bats special events as needed.
- Assist with office communications (social, emails, phones, etc.).
- Complete ad hoc projects from Club leadership.
- All other Front Office duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A recent college graduate or enrolled in a Bachelor or Master’s degree program
- Ability to work flexible hours, including all/most Bats 2026 home games
- Ability to work Weekends, Holidays, and Evenings throughout the 2026 season.
- Familiarity with baseball preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail oriented and comfortable with sales
- Punctual and self-motivating
- Must have a fan-friendly attitude and a professional appearance at all times
Compensation Options:
- Position can be utilized for course credit and paid $10.00 hourly once minimum hours for course requirements are met if applicable.
- Housing is not provided for this internship.
