2026 Game Day Promotions & Programming Associate

Louisville Bats Baseball Team: 

The Louisville Bats are the Class Triple-A baseball team, affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds, owned and operated by Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) which competes in the International League. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in Minor League Baseball and the sports industry. This internship will provide you with a greater understanding of not only Game Day Promotions and Programming, but a general look at many different aspects, including ticket sales, marketing, radio, media relations, partnerships/sponsors, and customer service.

Production & Game Entertainment Intern Duties:
 
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
·         Assist in maintaining/managing the Press Box/Production Room with Manager of In-Game Entertainment.
·         Work with Manager of In-Game Entertainment to make sure all in-game elements run smoothly.
·         Assist in ensuring all graphics are set up prior to every home game.
·         Fill in for various production room roles when needed throughout the season.
·         Other duties as assigned by Manager of In-Game Entertainment, Director of Marketing, and Vice President of Stadium Operations.

  • Learn how the video board and video equipment operate and become a subject matter expert.
  • Create and implement in-game entertainment script writing. 
  • Implement a game entertainment schedule from start to finish.
  • Assist with updating, loading, editing and operating all stadium audio occasionally. 
    • This can include pre-game and in-game music, in-game sound effects, player walk-up song requests, firework mixes, operating the audio board for the entirety of a baseball game, etc.
  • Executes all the game entertainment: pre-game, post-game, between innings as well as during game action.  
  • Plan ways to better the fan experience for the broadcast and the in-stadium presentation, while making sure that all partnership requirements are met.
  • Facilitation of on-field promotions and fan experiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 

Skills, Qualifications, Requirements
·         Recent college graduate or enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program.
·         Ability to work flexible hours, including necessary Bats 2026 home games (or until internship credit is fulfilled).
                          This internship will take place in the spring and summer of 2026.
·         Familiarity with baseball preferred.
·         Proficiency in written, oral communication and customer service skills.
·         Punctuality & self-motivating.
·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
·         Professionalism and fan-friendly attitude always.
·         300 total hours available to Undergraduate/Graduate student enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program.
·         20 hours per week – before start of season (2026 season begins Friday, March 27th).
·         Increase to 35 hours per week during the season.

 

Compensation Options: 

·         Paid/Unpaid – Depending on need for class credit hours.
                      Potential to become a paid internship if class hours fulfillment is met.
·         Housing not provided.
