Job Summary:
The Field Operations department of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs are looking to hire a seasonal employee for the 2026 season. This employee will work with the full-time staff to provide a high quality, professional baseball playing surface at Coca-Cola Park.
This position will average 45 hours/week, being heavier during a home stand and lighter on off weeks. While the start and end dates can be flexible depending on availability, we are looking to hire a summer intern employee for the 2026 season (early/mid-May-mid/late August).
Essential Functions (Assist the full-time staff in the following ways):
· During the Day: mowing, edging, mound/plate repair, set up or batting practice equipment, general clean up of bullpen, dugouts, etc.
· Pre-Game: removal of batting practices equipment, dragging of infield skin, chalking foul lines, removal of tarps, and repairing bullpen mounds.
· In-Game: dragging of infield, changing bases, assisting with on field activities.
· Post-Game: repair mounds and home plate and playing field, moving of batting practice equipment.
· Assist in hosting extra events (i.e. HS/college games, corporate picnics, Banana Ball/Cosmic games, etc.)
· Help to oversee game day staff
Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to multitask in a stressful and ever-changing environment
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work unsupervised
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability and willingness to learn new techniques, skills, and practices
Job Requirements/Preferences:
· Having/pursuing a turf management degree or having turf management experience at the professional or collegiate levels are preferred
Compensation:
· $15/hour + overtime.
