Job Summary – Essential Functions
The VP of Marketing & Entertainment is responsible for developing strategic marketing, advertising and public relations plans as well as executing a high level of game entertainment and promotions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage outgoing marketing/advertising campaigns and strategies as well as create an overall marketing plan for the year that focuses on selling tickets, merchandise, non-game day events, and more 
  • Oversee and direct all Marketing team divisions and employees – promotions, digital media, multi-media design, public/media relations, community relations 
  • Create digital advertising campaigns that generate strong ROI and database growth
  • Supervise the development, scripting and execution of all in-game entertainment and team sponsorship fulfillment requirements 
  • Manage promotional and marketing-based budgets including, but not limited to, promotional products and giveaways, game entertainment, membership clubs, promotions wages, broadcast expense, charitable contributions and others 
  • Work with internal departments and external vendors to plan and execute “all-inclusive” theme nights for all home games 
  • Working with outside creative agencies to develop alternate team logos, identities, micro-sites and other creative concepts, as needed 
  • Serve as an active member of the Board of Directors for IronPigs Charities with direct responsibility for managing the organization’s Director
  • Represent team, as needed, with media interviews, speaking engagements, etc… and serve as a positive community representative 
  • Assist with overall executive management as a member of the team’s leadership
  • Manage and execute a “Street Team” as part of the Teams marketing/community efforts
  • Other responsibilities as requested within the Marketing department or ballclub 
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sport management or a related field from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge, experience and professional training
  • Significant digital media understanding and capabilities 
  • Minimum five years in a similar position within the Sports and/or Entertainment industry
