The Coordinator, Food & Beverage — Premium Experience is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of food and beverage service within VyStar Ballpark's premium hospitality spaces, including suites, club areas, and private event venues. This role ensures that every premium guest receives a best-in-class culinary and service experience that reflects the Jumbo Shrimp brand and drives guest satisfaction, retention, and revenue. This is a high-energy, guest-facing position that requires exceptional organizational ability, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate all food and beverage service for suites, club seats, and premium hospitality spaces on game days and non-game events
• Work with the Sr. Manager, Premium Experience and entirety of the Food & Beverage department staff to oversee all food and beverage requirements pertaining directly to the suites and the other premium experience operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for premium guests and suite holders throughout each event, ensuring needs are met promptly and professionally
• Oversee setup, breakdown, and replenishment of food and beverage stations, buffets, and catering packages in premium areas
• Monitor inventory levels during events and coordinate restocking with kitchen and warehouse staff as needed
• Ensure consistent adherence to food safety standards, alcohol service policies, and Florida health regulations
• Supervise and support part-time and seasonal F&B premium staff on event days, including servers, suite attendants, and bartenders
• Assist in scheduling, training, and onboarding of game-day premium service staff
• Communicate pre-event briefings to the premium service team, including menu details, special requests, guest notes, and service expectations
• Foster a positive, guest-first team culture rooted in professionalism and accountability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suite holders, premium ticket accounts, and corporate partners
• Proactively anticipate and fulfill guest needs, resolving service issues with urgency and poise
• Collaborate with the corporate partnerships and premium sales teams to execute custom hospitality packages and activations
• Gather and communicate guest feedback to the Sr. Manager, Premium Experience to inform menu development, service enhancements, and account retention
• Assist in managing premium F&B inventory ordering, tracking, and reconciliation
• Process and verify suite and premium catering orders, ensuring accuracy against guest agreements
• Support end-of-event reporting including sales summaries, waste logs, and labor tracking
• Help identify opportunities to upsell and grow per-cap revenue in premium areas
• Coordinate premium F&B logistics for non-baseball events hosted at VyStar Ballpark (concerts, corporate events, private rentals)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, guest services, and catering teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Stay knowledgeable on events around the ballpark, POS system updates and troubleshooting, as well as any updates from upper management on procedure and policy.
• Comply with all State and City Licensing Authorities.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field is preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage, hospitality, catering, or event operations — experience in sports, entertainment, or venue settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and lead service teams in a high-volume environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working directly with premium and VIP clientele
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously on event days
• Results oriented individual with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Sound technical skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and POS systems.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in accordance with the Jumbo Shrimp game and event schedule (approximately 75+ home dates)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move through venue spaces quickly, and occasionally lift items up to 40 lbs
