The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins) is searching for a Premium
Experience Coordinator for their operation. This is a full-time position with a schedule that is impacted by games and scheduled events. This role will require office hours and hands-on management hours of events at the baseball grounds of Jacksonville.
Responsibilities
• Work with the Premium Experience Manager and entirety of the Food & Beverage department staff to oversee all food and beverage requirements pertaining directly to the suites and the other premium experience operations.
• Responsible for overseeing the suite operation including communicating with the sales team, contacting clients and establishing a relationship and line of communication, explain and assist clients with the catering menu and ordering process, work with the culinary team to provide orders and reports for catering, schedule and manage the suite attendants and their daily assignments, and ensure excellent service and food quality throughout the game or event.
• Assist with the management of the premium areas including the 3rd floor party deck, PNC Home Plate Club, the Right Field Hall, and the Shrimp Boats, as well as having a direct hand in assisting in non-baseball special events.
• Oversee the operation of the premium experience areas by communicating with the sales team, ensuring the culinary staff have the proper Banquet Event Orders, scheduling and staffing based on party size, special requests, and other needs, as well as ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
• Assist with creating and executing memorable experiences that drive revenue and exceed our clients’ expectations.
• Ensure that proper grooming and sanitation procedures are followed and comply with standards, including appropriate uniforms, hygiene, food handling procedures, etc.
• Train new staff on procedures, point-of-sale systems, weekly specials, and any other pertinent information that allows for success.
• Stay knowledgeable on events around the ballpark, POS system updates and troubleshooting, as well as any updates from upper management on procedure and policy.
• Comply with all State and City Licensing Authorities.
• Assist with other aspects of the food and beverage operation.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Proven leadership skills, customer service and at least two years of related experience.
• At least one year of hospitality experience, preferably in a restaurant or sports team setting.
• Proven success in premium food and beverage operations or restaurant/catering experience across front- and back-of-house roles.
• Skilled at developing and creating dining experiences that drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work well with others. Comfortable managing a team and being both staff and client point-of-contact.
• Results oriented individual with the ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, planning, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound technical skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and POS systems.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time; lift and push up to 25lbs.
• BA/BS Degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, Food Service Management, Sport and Entertainment Management, or related major is preferred.
