The Barback position will work with the Bar Leads and warehouse staff to ensure overall successful operation of the bars at VyStar Ballpark. As a Barback, you will play a key behind-the-scenes role by maintaining stocked and organized bar areas, assisting bartenders, and upholding high standards of cleanliness and service. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and commitment to supporting the front-of-house team will directly enhance the overall fan experience. This position requires a team-first attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The ideal Barback candidate has experience working in bars or restaurants and is familiar with kegs and kegerators. This person has knowledge of different alcoholic products as well as non-alcoholic mixers and bar equipment in order to assist the bartenders with their needs.
- Can lift a full 1/2 keg barrel, approximately 150lbs, unassisted, on and off carts and in and out of kegerator boxes.
- Able to stay on their feet and cross multiple terrains and travel between multiple stories of a building.
- Is able to pull carts loaded with kegs or packaged beer cases.
- Is familiar with inventory procedures.
- Is familiar with warehouse equipment, including but not limited to a manual or electric pallet jack.
- Forklift experience and certification is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pour a draft beer and able to train others on the correct method.
- Main availability from Thursday to Saturday.
- At least 18 years old.
