The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins and the reigning 2025 Triple-A National Champions. Playing at VyStar Ballpark in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, the Jumbo Shrimp deliver affordable, family-friendly entertainment to one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) serves as a senior operational and strategic leader for the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, partnering directly with President & GM to drive the club's business growth, fan engagement, and community presence. A central pillar of this role is ownership of attendance strategy — the AGM is accountable for developing and executing initiatives that fill VyStar Ballpark game after game, across all 75 home dates of the regular season.  This is a high-visibility, high-accountability position suited to a proven sports business professional who combines analytical rigor with creativity and hustle to execute in a fast-paced Minor League environment.

Attendance Growth & In-Park Experience
• Own and lead the club's annual attendance strategy, setting game-by-game targets and managing toward the seasonal goal
• Identify and close attendance gaps through data analysis of historical trends, promotional calendars, competitor schedules, and community events
• Oversee the Ticket Sales team while partnering with the Marketing and Promotions teams to design compelling in-park experiences that drive repeat visitation and group sales
• Develop and execute strategies specifically focused on increasing attendance
• Champion the group sales pipeline; work with the sales team to build corporate outings, school days, birthday and celebration packages, and non-profit fundraiser events
• Analyze gate data, survey results, and market research post-game and post-series to optimize promotional effectiveness and fan satisfaction
• Serve as internal champion for an outstanding ballpark experience from entry to exit — flow, sight lines, fan engagement, accessibility, and staff hospitality

Business Operations & Revenue
• Support the GM in developing and managing the annual operating budget, with a focus on revenue-driving functions
• Collaborate with Finance on pricing strategy, dynamic ticket pricing, and yield management across the seating inventory
• Set the strategic direction for merchandise as a revenue and brand-building function — establishing annual goals, identifying growth opportunities across in-park retail and e-commerce, and ensuring the product line reflects the Jumbo Shrimp’s identity and market position
• Contribute to special projects including facility improvements, technology adoption (ticketing platforms, CRM, data tools), and new revenue streams
• Champion and train staff in the use of sales enablement tools including CRM, Claude AI, etc.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Manage and develop department heads and staff across Ticketing, Merchandise, Production, Broadcasting, Community

Relations, Graphic Design, and Social Media
• Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and relentless customer focus throughout the organization
• Champion innovation across all departments to keep the organization competitive, agile, and forward-thinking
• Represent the club at community and civic functions, media events, and league meetings as needed
• Collaborate with PBG's corporate team to leverage best practices, shared resources, and platform-wide initiatives across the Jumbo Shrimp, Akron RubberDucks, Lancaster Stormers and future teams added to the portfolio

Marketing, Social Media & Brand
• Oversee social media strategy and content across all Jumbo Shrimp platforms — ensuring a consistent, engaging, and on-brand presence that drives awareness and attendance
• Direct public relations efforts including media relations, press releases, game notes, and proactive story pitching to local and regional outlets
• Maintain and evolve the club's brand presentation — voice, visual identity, and fan-facing messaging — in alignment with PBG brand standards and the Jumbo Shrimp's coastal, community-rooted identity
• Partner with the Marketing and Social teams to build content calendars tied to the promotional schedule, on-field milestones, and community moments
• Manage relationships with media partners, broadcast partners, and local influencers to amplify attendance-driving campaigns
• Cultivate high-value media partnerships across radio, streaming, and local television that expand the club’s regional footprint and drive name recognition beyond the ballpark.
• Enforce visual standards that build a cohesive, recognizable Jumbo Shrimp identity across every fan touchpoint — digital, physical, and experiential.

Community & Market Presence
• Cultivate relationships with Jacksonville civic leaders, school systems, military installations, tourism boards, and business associations to grow the club's community footprint
• Serve as a brand ambassador for the Jumbo Shrimp at community events, media appearances, and partner engagements
• Identify underserved audience segments and create targeted outreach programs to expand the team's fan base beyond its current demographic core

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in sports, entertainment, or a related industry
• Demonstrated track record of driving ticket sales, group sales, or overall attendance growth in a professional sports environment
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and holding staff accountable to measurable outcomes
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable using data to diagnose problems and validate decisions
• Excellent communicator — written, verbal, and in public/media settings
• Deep understanding of sports operations, fan engagement, and the dynamics of competitive sports markets
• Passion for baseball, community engagement, and delivering fan-first experiences
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Experience
• Experience with ticketing software such as Tickets.com and CRM systems
• Existing relationships in the Jacksonville market or Florida business community
• Experience working within MiLB or professional sports organizations
• Experience overseeing large teams and multiple functional departments
• Background in ticketing, marketing, or game entertainment in a live sports context
