The Marketing Intern reports to the Director of Marketing and will help create content across Iowa Cubs social media platforms, craft emails and text messages, execute game-day marketing promotions, manage silent auctions, and more. Interns will average 40 hours per week, including traditional office work and game day responsibilities. Hours could include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
· Assist in creation of social media content for the Iowa Cubs Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok and LinkedIn as directed by the Director of Marketing while monitoring trends, tracking results, and more
· Create integrated campaigns to promote ticket sales and merchandise sales
· Create weekly newsletter to Iowa Cubs fans
· Craft text message campaigns
· Prepare and execute pre-game and in-game activities for promo nights
· Organize and manage silent auctions
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field of study
· Must have an understanding of marketing principals and previous work to support your knowledge
· This position is 100% in person. Must be available to start before the first home game on March 27
· Junior or senior status or graduate student is preferred, but not a requirement
· Must have an understanding of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn
· Knowledge of DSLR camera preferred
· Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Must be available to work most, if not all, Iowa Cubs home games
· Must have reliable transportation
