The Graphic Designer is a creative position designed to support all aspects of the Iowa Cubs business. This position will focus heavily on crafting our visual brand identity and will be actively involved in all aspects of our business, including creating content for Social Media, Game Presentations, Promotional Items, etc. We are looking for someone with a strong eye for design, a positive attitude, and a creative spirit. This person can think critically and creatively.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design and produce high-impact graphics for social media, website, email, digital marketing, print materials for internal and external use.
  • Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency across all materials and communication channels.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments including marketing, sales, and events to produce high quality creative content solutions.
  • Maintain organized templates, files, and archives to support efficient production.
  • Organize and maintain a library of design assets and photographs.
  • Prepare artwork for production, ensuring proper formatting and specifications for print and digital delivery.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines while upholding high-quality standards.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure fresh, relevant, and effective visual output.
  • Ability to work in both Microsoft and Apple based environments
  • Assist on-site during select home games and events as needed

Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in Graphic Design or visual communications.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, lnDesign).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of design principles including typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience creating assets and preparing files for professional print production and digital platforms.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to take direction and feedback, work independently, and collaborate within a team environment
  • Experience with photography or motion graphics a plus
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects and/or Premier Pro a plus
