Corporate Sales Account Executive

Position Summary
The Corporate Sales Account Executive is a key contributor to the Indianapolis Indians’ revenue generation and client engagement efforts. This role focuses on securing corporate sponsorships and partnerships, building strong relationships with business partners, and ensuring seamless execution of sponsorship agreements.
In addition to driving sales, the Corporate Sales Account Executive provides top-tier service to partners, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring client satisfaction. By designing customized sponsorship packages and collaborating with internal teams, this position helps align corporate partnerships with the Indians’ mission and values while enhancing the overall fan experience. The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional with a passion for sales, service, and the sports and entertainment industry.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed corporate sales revenue targets, with an emphasis on securing sponsorships, advertising, and premium partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with corporate clients, acting as their primary point of contact for partnership needs and support.
- Design and present tailored sponsorship packages that align with client objectives and leverage the Indians’ assets, including digital, in-stadium, and community-focused opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, operations, and premium services, to ensure smooth execution and activation of sponsorship agreements.
- Identify and pursue new corporate partners through targeted outreach, networking, and market research, expanding the organization’s client base.
- Manage all aspects of sponsorship agreements, including contract negotiation, activation, and post-agreement reporting.
- Analyze and report on sponsorship performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to enhance value delivery and ROI.
- Implement retention and renewal strategies to ensure high client satisfaction and secure long-term partnerships.
- Stay informed about industry trends in sponsorship and service to continually refine strategies and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
- Work within established budgets to ensure sponsorship efforts align with organizational financial goals and contribute to overall profitability.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sports management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in corporate sales, sponsorship, or client service, preferably in the sports or entertainment industry.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and successfully manage client accounts.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to balance sales objectives and client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with corporate clients and internal teams.
- Experience designing and presenting customized sponsorship packages that drive client value and align with organizational goals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Knowledge of trends and best practices in sponsorship, service delivery, and the sports and entertainment industry.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting software.

- Salary & commission commensurate with experience, plus bonus structure (when eligible)

Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In continuous operation since 1902, the organization believes in creating affordable and memorable experiences for fans so they can grow closer together with family, friends and the community through the game of baseball. The Indians play their home games at Victory Field, a 13,750-seat ballpark located in downtown Indianapolis and White River State Park.
