Position Summary

The Indianapolis Indians seek a candidate to assist its game presentation through the audio system operation on game days. Those interested in a career in professional or collegiate athletics will gain experience within the control room of a professional baseball team and what it takes to put on an event. Applicants will work closely with the Game Presentation team on a daily basis for the duration of the Minor League Baseball season (March – September) to ensure the overall game presentation continues to adapt with new music, walk-up songs and adheres to the overall pace of play. Candidates are typically college students or recent graduates who will be living in central Indiana.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage, organize and upload song files through Soundboard Studio Pro and Spotify.
  • Run the audio system during Indians games and other outside events.
  • Ensure audio levels in the stadium are appropriate at all times.
  • Understand the pace of play to determine appropriate time for music, sound effects, etc.
  • Work with in-park entertainment to ensure audio requirements are met.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college/university or obtained a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a video or audio production related field
  • A strong understanding of the game of baseball
  • A basic understanding of standard audio equipment
  • Previous experience in a sports environment in strongly preferred 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Available to work all regular-season home games between March 27-September 19
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in stressful environment

Compensation 

$85.00 per game; estimated 4-5 hours per shift

The Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
