Overview
The Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Special Events team. The Special Events Associate assists in general operation and event management for non-gameday events at the stadium. The Special Events Associate reports directly to the Special Events Manager.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or early career professionals who are passionate about sports, highly motivated, and eager to gain hands-on leadership experience. The program begins in February 2026 and runs through the conclusion of the Minor League Baseball season in November 2026.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide on-site event assistance to external and internal groups
  • Assist in accurate and detailed reporting for event files, and calendars, and distribution to departments
  • Assist in working with onsite catering team, operations team, marketing, and ticketing for successful execution of events
  • Assist in coordinating with external vendors for event setup and breakdown
  • Help with brainstorming of new event ideas, and research local events and industry trends
  • Must be able to work all events put on by the department
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all clients and potential clients to deliver outstanding service
  • Some Stripers gameday duties and other duties as assigned

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software  
 
Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods during events
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to work a variety of hours to accommodate events
 
 Qualifications: 

·       Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Hospitality, Meeting, and Event Planning or related field required

·       Superior organizational habits and ability to manage multiple projects.  

·       The ability to thrive in a competitive, fun, fast paced environment. 

·       Ability to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidays. 

·       Ability to exert physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of weight. 

·       Must complete a successful comprehensive background check
