Position: Photographer
Reports To: Digital Marketing Manager
Position Overview: The Photographer is responsible for shooting, editing, and uploading images for use by the Gwinnett Stripers, including but not limited to: game action, stadium promotions, pregame ceremonies, award presentations, fans enjoying ballpark spaces, and special events.
Department Overview: Photographer report to the Marketing Department and are vital in the Stripers’ sales, marketing, media, and community relations efforts. Images shot for the team are utilized on digital platforms (website, social media, digital gameday programs), printed materials (baseball cards, pocket schedules, flyers, brochures), stadium signage, and more. Images are also shared with outside media outlets and other third parties when requested.
Major responsibilities:
- Shooting game action for use by the Marketing and Media Relations Departments
- Shooting promotions, giveaways, pregame ceremonies, award presentations, fans enjoying ballpark spaces, etc. for use by the Marketing, Sales, and Community Relations Departments
- Coordinating the completion of a nightly “shot list”
- Editing and uploading shots in a timely manner to the team’s Flickr account
Qualifications:
- Photographer with a passion for shooting professional sports events in an outdoor environment
- Access to high-resolution camera equipment and flashes for shooting at night (the Stripers do not provide cameras, lenses, flashes, lighting, or any other equipment)
- Access to and familiarity with photo editing software (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task and work with strict deadlines
- Excellent verbal communication skills and computer skills
- Flexible schedule: available April-September; able to work nights and weekends as needed
- Must complete a successful background check
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience shooting images for a sports team (High School, College, or Professional)
- Bilingual
