Overview:
The Gwinnett Stripers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, take pride in our service provided to our fans each time they step through the gates. We are looking for individuals to join us this spring and summer who will help maintain our fan experience and bring the fun to our ballpark!
Fan Services Team Members have the possibility of working in various positions, including Outside Greeters and Bag Checkers, Elevator Attendants, Wheelchair Attendants, Amusements Attendants and Fan Service Ambassadors (Ushers).
This position does a great deal of walking, climbing stairs and standing on concrete surfaces in both cold and hot weather.
Responsibilities:
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and positively engage with all guests upon arrival and throughout their visit at the ballpark to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Treat our guests with courtesy and respect and assist them to ensure their visit is safe, clean, fun, and family-friendly.
- Provide event information, general ballpark directions, instructions and guidance to all fans while ensuring fan compliance with ballpark policies/procedures (i.e. screening procedures, prohibited items, special assistance options.)
- Direct and maintain control over queue formations at gate entrances and within the ballpark.
- Communicate with appropriate staff to coordinate optimal entrance into ballpark for fans and guests.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as:
- Employees must communicate well and be friendly, knowledgeable, well-groomed, assertive and able to intervene in conflict situations
- Must have the ability to provide excellent customer service to all fans and guests in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner
- Must be available to attend training sessions, stadium tours and other events, as necessary, prior to beginning of the baseball season
- Willing to learn and use programs on your computer and/or mobile phone to submit availability and complete necessary employment training
- Must be available to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends during baseball season
- Must be available to arrive up to two (2) hours prior to first pitch
- Must be able to stand for up to five (5) hours at a time
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Work Hours
Hours vary according to the game and event schedule. Must be available to arrive up to three (3) hours prior to game time.,
