About the Opportunity:
The Gwinnett Stripers are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-driven marketing leader to serve as Director of Marketing. Position Overview:
The Director of Marketing oversees all aspects of the club’s marketing, branding, advertising, and fan engagement efforts. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that increase attendance, strengthen partnerships, and grow the Stripers’ presence in the community. The position requires a hands-on leader who can balance creative vision with data-driven decision-making and strong team leadership. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Brand Leadership:
- Develop and execute the club’s annual strategic marketing plan
- Maintain and strengthen brand standards across all platforms
- Partner with executive leadership to align marketing initiatives with business goals
- Identify emerging trends, tools, and technologies to enhance outreach
Creative & Content Management:
- Lead the graphic design and video production teams
- Establish and execute the annual creative campaign
- Oversee social media, email marketing, digital content, and storytelling
- Ensure consistent, engaging messaging across all channels
Advertising & Digital Marketing:
- Manage traditional and digital advertising campaigns
- Oversee paid media, SEO, and social strategy
- Track performance and optimize campaigns for ROI
- Utilize analytics tools to guide decision-making
Fan Experience & Game Presentation:
- Oversee game-day entertainment and in-stadium production
- Manage game scripts, music, video boards, and control room operations
- Enhance the overall fan experience at Coolray Field
- Lead promotional schedule development and giveaway programs
Partnerships & Revenue Support:
- Collaborate with ticket sales, partnerships, retail, and special events teams
- Develop local partnerships and barter agreements
- Support revenue-generating initiatives and asset marketing
- Create campaigns that drive ticket sales and lead generation
Community & Public Relations:
- Oversee public relations, media relations, and communications
- Lead community outreach and grassroots marketing programs
- Manage mascot and promotional teams
- Represent the organization at community and sponsor events
Research & Data:
- Conduct fan surveys and market research
- Track advertising impact and sales performance
- Grow and maintain the club’s CRM and email database
Leadership & Culture:
- Foster a creative, collaborative, and high-performing team environment
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement
- Support staff development and professional growth
Additional Duties:
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading marketing initiatives or teams
- Strong digital marketing, SEO, and analytics experience
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred:
- Experience in professional or collegiate sports, entertainment, or live events
- Game-day or large-scale event production experience
- Sponsorship and partnership marketing experience
- Familiarity with CRM and ticketing platforms
