Overview:
 
Driven, highly motivated self starter  salesperson, responsible for securing new business meetings, developing and managing sponsorship relationships and generating revenue through sponsorship sales.    
 
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:  
Sponsorship Sales and Account Management: 
  • Identify, research, and solicit new sponsorship opportunities via phone, email, social media and in person events. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective sponsors. 
  • Consistently high volume of outreach to prospective clients. 
  • Create and deliver compelling sponsorship proposals and presentations. 
  •  Work with senior staff to negotiate sponsorship agreements and ensure fulfillment of all contract elements. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship deliverables. 
Game Day Duties: 
  • Assist with game day operations as needed, including pulling the tarp during inclement weather. 
  • Ensure sponsor activations and in-game promotions are executed flawlessly. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for sponsors on game days, ensuring a positive and engaging experience. 
 
 
Administrative and Miscellaneous: 
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, sponsorship agreements, and fulfillment obligations. 
  • Prepare regular reports on sponsorship sales and outbound communication performance. 
  • Attend team and community events to build and maintain relationships. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to maximize sponsorship opportunities and present to internal team. 
 
Required Qualifications:  
  • Willingness to conduct outbound outreach to prospective clients  
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for sports. 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or working towards) in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.

  • This position may require working outdoors in unpredictable weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, necessitating the ability to adapt to changing environmental factors and wear appropriate protective gear as needed.
