Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt

 

Summary/Objective:

 

Control Room Operator is a part time position who reports to the Ballpark Entertainment Manager. The Operator will assist in the execution of Space Cowboys in-game entertainment. They will be required to operate Daktronics Show Control, Click Effects, and other various equipment in the control room.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Operate Daktronics Show Control as outlined on event script
  • Provide static or motion graphics to director/technical director upon request
  • Take direction from event producer and/or director to ensure execution of sponsor activation
  • Input various content into control room systems
  • Organize graphics for event
  • Communicate with all control room positions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and/or Experience & Skills:

 

  • Ability to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and repair AV equipment.
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic communication with your technical director and other managers/operators
  • Knowledge on baseball and how the game is played
  • Knowledge on baseball and how the game is played

 

Work Environment

The position will perform work in a stadium, office, and local community environment where noise/crowd levels greatly vary. The position is subject to varying temperatures and weather extremes.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Nature of position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
