Summary
As an Event Ticket Agent, you will work out of the Ticket Services Department and the Box Office to sell, distribute and manage all ticketing systems, platforms and modalities and to ascertain and to resolve all ticketing issues involved in, affecting and/or pertaining thereto. Qualified individuals must be highly motivated with a passion to providing excellent, and when possible, an elite level of customer service to every fan they serve. Individuals should be detail-oriented and genuinely enjoy interacting with and helping our fans. Friendly and outgoing personality with retail and/or cash-handling experience is a must. 
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Selling, refunding, upgrading and exchanging multiple types of tickets for the Houston Astros and for other events held upon the Complex.
  • Collecting, accounting for and depositing all monies, funds and payments that have been received or generated. Must complete and balance daily sales report.
  • Collecting, validating, processing and reporting all coupons, vouchers and gift cards, and/or using all buyer types predicating offers of discounted and/or complimentary tickets.
  • Provide EXCELLENT, even ELITE, customer service such as greeting, serving and thanking all of our loyal patrons and ensuring that all have a superior fan experience while at MMP.
  • Provide liaison between the general public and our Group, Season and Premium sales staff.
  • Able to assist fans with all relevant MLB Ballpark App functions.
  • Determine entitlement to and distribute all Will Call tickets, including Astros.com, Group and Season sales, Premium sales and individual game and in-house sales, as well as all "drop-offs."
 
Qualifications
  • Able to lift, carry, move, arrange and use equipment up to 30 lbs. in weight.
  • Retail and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Possess the visual acuity to see, read and comprehend text, type, data and content on standard computer monitors, smart phones, screens and documents.
  • Experience with processing debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and voucher payments preferred.
  • Experience using Pro Venue, online ticketing Apps and/or other ticketing systems. 
  • Experience with and knowledgeable of the features, functions and usage of iPhones, Androids and related mobile or digital devices in ticketing protocols and environments.
  • Experience with and knowledgeable of the advantages/limitations of Cellular and WiFi connectivity/usage.
  • Experience with basic computer programs such as Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and/or “browsers” such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc. preferred.
  • Ability to type a minimum of twenty (20) words per minute on a standard computer keyboard.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity and visual acuity to fully utilize and execute the full functionality of “smart phones” and other mobile devices.
