This position is based out of Space City Home Network office located at 1201 San Jacinto St., Houston, TX and reports to the Local Sales Manager.  The position requires daily presence at the office.

 

Summary

Space City Home Network is seeking an Ad Sales Client Services Coordinator to join their sports sales team in Houston Texas. This person will work as a Client Services Coordinator that supports our Ad Sales team for all client needs. The ideal candidate should be interested in linear digital sales, have sports knowledge, have an innovative approach, and be able to excel in a fast-paced, live television environment.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Assist the sales team in the day-to-day operations of local sales including but not limited to inventory management, order entry, order management and ratings information.
  • Work with Creative Department on asset generation for client needs.
  • Coordinate with production on the running of all elements and assets for on-air execution.
  • Manage asset grids including live games, magazine programs and virtual signage.
  • Work with the Local Sales Manager on new sales initiatives to present to the sales staff.
  • Coordinate with team partners on marketing assets for live games.
  • Communicate with the programming department for marketing reads and social media engagement for client needs.
  • Work directly with the local sales staff on client order management and presentation materials.
  • Manage sporting event tickets for client distribution.
  • Work with research software to develop sales strategies for both local and national clients.
  • Manage new client activity list and prospecting list for all local Sales needs.
  •  Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High School graduate with relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism or like field preferred.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must.\
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent personal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the sport media space is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.

 

Work Environment

The position will work in an indoor, outdoor and stadium environment. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. 

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Travel

No travel will be expected for this position.
