CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches is the Spring Training home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals. This is a two-team state-of-the-art facility designed for year-round use through Spring Training games, amateur baseball, non-baseball sporting events, community events, along with banquets, corporate events, weddings, and more.

As a member of the Marketing and Corporate Partnerships teams, you’ll play a key role in promoting Spring Training in the West Palm Beach, delivering memorable in-game experiences, and supporting partnership activations. We’re seeking outgoing, enthusiastic individuals who possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn. Internship responsibilities include assisting with tasks related to creative services, partnership sales and activations, and in-game entertainment for the Houston Astros, Washington Nationals, and CACTI Park. The internship runs from December 2025 through the end of March 2026. Interns will collaborate with front office executives, gameday staff, facilities staff, and fans.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the marketing efforts including media planning, promotions, community relations and content creation for social media, websites, and email
  • Assist with Spring Training game production, including run-of-show scripting, coordinating pregame ceremonies, and managing in-game entertainment elements (National Anthem performances, video board graphics, music, etc.)
  • Handle media credential requests and distribution
  • Collect and develop marketing data and analytics for department use
  • Assist the Corporate Partnerships department in ensuring adherence to sponsor contract provisions, including monitoring inventory, execution of promotions, and planning/execution of special events, which includes game day responsibilities
  • Maintain records for all sponsor activities, tasks, and accomplishments
  • Help prepare client presentations, hospitality efforts, and sponsor fulfillment
  • Collaborate effectively with the team and maintain professional interactions with clients and fans.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student from an accredited college or university, having completed at least one semester, or recently graduated with a degree in Sports Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Management, or a related field.
  • Must be reliable and exhibit commitment to meeting both the work schedule and job requirements
  • Ability to work irregular/extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus
  • Knowledge of website structure and functionality (e.g., Squarespace)
  • Experience in using social media platforms professionally (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Photography and video editing experience is a plus
  • Interest in media production and game day scripting is a plus
  • Experience in Gameday Press Box or Control Room is a plus
  • Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Professional conduct, image, and demeanor in an office setting

 

Work Environment

This job operates in an office and ballpark stadium setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.  The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Ability to work in a high-activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue in all weather extremes for extended periods of time.

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a moderately active role, and will include the individual standing for long periods of time, walking long distances, and/or climbing up/down stairs or ladders. Individuals may also be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, and to lift/move/carry items up to 20 lbs. on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Travel

Rare travel may be expected in this role.
