About the Woodpeckers:
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are the Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, playing at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Since their inaugural season in 2019, the Woodpeckers have built a strong presence in the community by delivering an energetic, family-friendly game-day experience and serving as a hub for civic pride in the Sandhills region. Position Overview:
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are seeking a Manager, Creative Services. This role will serve as the primary designer for the Club and will work with the creative team to conceptualize and design projects across the entire organization. This position will support marketing & ticket sales efforts through the ideation and design of forward-thinking creative concepts and graphic elements that coincide with the Woodpeckers brand. This position will also work interdepartmentally with other areas such as Special Events, Retail, Community Relations, etc. This position will also oversee Creative Services Associates who will assist with design projects and concepts across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Creative team to annually review and enhance/develop the brand identity and season-long look for the Club.
  • Design original elements including but not limited to:
    • Logo Creation
    • Digital Advertising
    • Print
    • Signage
    • In-Stadium Graphics
    • Promotional Items/Packaging
    • Collateral
    • Other projects as assigned
  • Create, develop and administer graphic and digital content for a variety of applications.
  • Assist with social media content keeping it fresh and up to date.
  • Capture engaging player content that can be used in marketing materials promoting the brand.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for advertising and video campaigns and other advertising/marketing efforts for the Club.
  • Help develop a content calendar.
  • Assist with planning and execution of photo shoots.
  • Oversee the Coordinator, Creative Services and any seasonal designers on staff.
  • Assist Ballpark Entertainment during Woodpeckers home games when needed.
  • Performs duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be highly creative, possess strong initiative and be detail oriented.
  • Exceptional ability with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of video editing a plus.
  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to provide clear direction and concise feedback when reviewing work.
  • Knowledge of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Good copywriting instincts and proofreading skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to delegate projects to staff.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to execute multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build relationships, work and contribute to a team-based environment and deliver excellence in client service.
  • Ability to work extended or unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Premiere.

Work Environment:
Job may require employee to function in a in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue/environment. Employee may also be exposed to weather of varying degrees for extended periods of time while performing the duties of this job.
