The Fayetteville Woodpeckers, Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, deliver affordable, family-friendly entertainment and high-quality baseball experiences at Segra Stadium in downtown Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Woodpeckers are committed to creating memorable fan experiences, engaging the local community, and developing future leaders both on and off the field. The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.

Position Overview:
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are seeking a motivated and driven Account Executive, Ticket Sales to join our growing Sales team. This role is designed for individuals looking to launch or continue a career in professional sports, with clear opportunities for development and advancement within the organization and across the DBH network. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini plans, group outings, hospitality experiences, and premium seating while delivering exceptional service to clients and fans. The ideal candidate is competitive, coachable, relationship-driven, and excited to grow professionally in a fast-paced sports environment. Ticket Sales is the foundation of many successful careers in sports business. Account Executives receive hands-on training, coaching, and exposure to all aspects of the organization, with opportunities to grow into senior sales, leadership, and cross-functional roles within the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and Diamond Baseball Holdings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Generate new ticket revenue through outbound calls, prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Sell and service season tickets, mini plans, group outings, and premium experiences
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships focused on retention and repeat business
  • Conduct in-person meetings, virtual presentations, and ballpark tours with prospective clients
  • Meet and/or exceed individual sales goals and daily activity metrics
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity within the ticketing CRM system
  • Collaborate with marketing, community relations, and game presentation teams to maximize sales opportunities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to create positive fan experiences and strengthen brand loyalty
  • Participate in game-day responsibilities and support overall team operations as needed

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous sales, customer service, or relationship-focused experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competitive mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow in sports sales
  • Professional and confident phone and in-person presence
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and team-first approach
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season
  • Experience with CRM or ticketing systems preferred
  • Other duties as assigned
