The Washington Wild Things, a proud member of the MLB Partner Frontier League, are seeking a dynamic and driven Sponsorship Sales Executive to work with our team with corporate partnerships for baseball and other events at EQT Park, a 3,200 seat multi-use stadium located just south of Pittsburgh and east of Wheeling.
EQT Park hosts 51 regular season Wild Things games (mid-May through Labor Day), along with hundreds of community events, fundraisers, concerts, college games, high school games festivals and more.
Position Overview
The Sponsorship Sales Executive will collaborate with the team to develop and execute various sales strategies to drive revenue, strengthen community partnerships and elevate the fan experience. The salesperson will be responsible for handling all aspects of sponsorship sales, from prospecting, proposal creation to activation and renewal.
The Sponsorship Sales Executive reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Design and present customized sponsorship packages that enhance brand engagement and in-venue experience.
- Help develop and execute a comprehensive sponsorship sales plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain detailed tracking and reporting of sponsorship performance on a weekly, monthly and year to date basis.
- Develop and maintain a qualified lead pipeline.
- Assist in expanding the sponsorship sales inventory with an overall department target of 1.5 M annually and personal sales goal of $250.00K+.
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with brands that share our commitment to community and to entertainment.
Qualifications
- Proven success (5+ years preferred) in sponsorship, corporate partnerships or B2B sales, ideally in sports, entertainment, or media.
- Strong communications, presentation, and relationship building skills.
- Creative thinking skills with the ability to design and deliver innovative partnership solutions.
- Excellent organizational and reporting abilities (experience with CRM systems is a plus)
- Initiative-taking, goal-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced team-driven environment.
