JOB SUMMARY:
The Washington Wild Things are looking for a talented Public Address Announcer that will serve as an integral member of our team and the game-day experience at EQT Park. As the Voice of EQT Park, you will enhance the fan journey through concise, coherent announcements, your ability to articulate script/copy reads and accurate name pronunciation using our PA system. In this role, you'll enhance the atmosphere, along with our on-field staff and emcee, for our fans to help provide life-long memories for fans of all ages. Our PA announcer will be a passionate, positive individual and high-energy professional with the ability to add to the experience of fans at our ballpark for all Wild Things' home games.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purposefully developing a player and people-centered culture

- Meaningfully impacting our community
- Concise, clear announcements, articulation of copy/script reads, and accurate name pronunciation along with an energetic voice and attitude. Some degree of ad-libbing is required as well to interact with our emcee and fans
- Enhance the ballpark experience
- Responsible for keeping fans informed with game information as well as communicating various scripted messages to fans
- Responsible for delivering line ups and subs, sponsor reads, fan introductions pregame, safety messaging, and more
- Responsible for various audio recordings (ex- gate announcements) as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Display a positive and professional demeanor while representing the Washington Wild Things
- Ability to work all Washington Wild Things home games and attend any local organization or public appearances as necessary
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
- Professional vocal talent with a unique personality and vocal perspective
- Experience working with a variety of microphone systems
- Working knowledge of the game of baseball, including rules, umpire signals, and scoring
- Ability to multitask, keep track of player changes and game progress
- Flexible work schedule, with the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous public address experience, preferably, but not required to be, in a baseball environment and in a sports arena/stadium/ballpark
