This position requires an organized, detail-oriented and personable applicant who wants to work with a first class professional baseball organization in hosting 51 regular season home games and a variety of special events. The candidate should be a hardworking, team-player who is seeking an opportunity for growth. The Ticket Operations Manager will be tasked with overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of our ticketing department and box office. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the distribution and fulfillment of all tickets pertaining to plans, groups, individuals, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Box Office team of 10-15 Game Day/Special Event personnel. Including hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching on proper standards/policy.
- Run all aspects of the day to day operations of the box office, including ticket sales, ticket fulfillment, printing and distributing tickets (Full Season, Mini Plans, Flex, Group, Picnic, Single Game tickets, and special events). Including answering phone calls and assisting with any fan needs to provide effective and prompt communication.
- Being proactive vs. reactive - anticipating challenges and friction points ahead of time by creating a plan to best handle the difficulties.
- Lead by example and coach others with a fan first mentality. It is our goal to create a fan for life out of every fan that walks in the park.
- Maintain a professional appearance for all aspects of the box office operation.
- Fulfill and update Group Contracts in CRM or ticket system databases to ensure accuracy as they are submitted.
- Manage data entry and database management for specific ticket promotions. Identify new ways to engage with consumers and gather their info to connect with them.
- Manage Inside Sales initiatives by identifying & reaching out to potential/new plan holders and group clients based on data collected and reaching a predetermined sales goals. Additionally, proactively identify opportunities to build and execute offers/promotions for ticket sales.
- Assist with building price codes, ticket plans, promo codes, and other ticket system programming needs.
- Maintain accurate and up to date game and event itineraries.
- Be the point person and take ownership for all box office software set-up, troubleshooting, and sales for events in the team's ticketing system.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of all daily receipts through transactions in the Box Office and ticket system to senior management and the finance department.
- Help set and manage the departmental budget and financial goals.
- Keep current with industry trends, technology, and opportunities in order to help set team ticketing strategies and capital investments.
- Completing all other duties as assigned by the President, General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
Qualifications:
- College degree is preferred but not required.
- Positive team spirit and willingness to help other departments.
- Passionate about creating a positive experience for every fan that walks in the park.
- 3+ years of experience in the sports or live entertainment industry.
- Strong track record of box office and ticketing experience (2+ years).
- Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor in the face of adversity.
- Ability to be at the stadium long hours including night, weekend and holiday events.
- Self-motivated without needing constant direction.
- An organized and goal-oriented individual.
- Must have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to contribute in a hands-on role and understanding when to act as well as when to delegate.
- Willingness to take ownership of projects and tasks for the betterment of the organization and fan experience.
