This position requires an organized, detail-oriented and personable applicant who wants to work with a first-class professional baseball organization in hosting 51 regular season home games and a variety of special events. The candidate should be a hardworking, team player who is seeking an opportunity for growth. The Seasonal Marketing & Digital Media Associate will be tasked with assisting the team’s communications efforts including advertising, marketing, public relations, and digital properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
- Maximize fan engagement through each of the club's social media accounts.
- Manage the implementation of the ValleyCats marketing and editorial calendar.
- Assist with the management of the ValleyCats official website, tcvalleycats.com. Includes content design and creation as needed.
- Assist with design & content for ValleyCats publications.
- Assist with Press Releases and Media Advisories.
- Photograph each event at the ballpark and organize a comprehensive photo library.
- Design ValleyCats advertisements for print & online platforms.
- Update pre & postgame graphics for social media.
- Assist with graphic creation for in-stadium video board etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College junior or senior, Graduate Students or individuals seeking entry into the sports industry.
- Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of baseball.
- Must be proficient working with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Prior video editing experience. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus.
- Ability to be at the stadium long hours including night and weekend events.
- Self-motivated without needing constant direction
- Must be enthusiastic with a desire to learn through hands on experience and have fun.
- Must be a team player with leadership skills
