Reports To: Fan Engagement Assistant and Assistant General Manager
Assignments will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in ValleyCats game day preparation, game day entertainment / promotions, and executing corporate marketing agreements.
- Will work with Client Services to ensure all corporate agreements are being fulfilled during home games.
- Specialize in Fan Relations and On-field Promotions during games.
- Help with preparation for upcoming games, promotions, and special events.
- Oversee and perform on-field contests, promotions, in-stadium data collection, and giveaways.
- Assist the staff in organizing hospitality events including corporate partner sponsor events and networking functions as needed.
- Provide entertainment and increase fan involvement during games.
- Maintain a clean and organized Promotional Room.
- Participate in nightly themes including dressing up in costume and as a mascot as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be enthusiastic with a desire to learn through hands on experience.
- Must be a team player with leadership skills.
- Animated individual that enjoys being in the spotlight.
- Ability to be at the stadium long hours including night and weekend events.
- Self-motivated without needing constant direction.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- An organized and detail oriented individual.
- Willingness to wear a mascot costume.
- Desire to have FUN!
Compensation and Duration of Employment: This position will pay $55 per game/event. If fulfilling an academic requirement, college credit may also be awarded. Internships run from mid-May to early September and include home games and some special events.
