Job Title: Inventory & Receiving Food & Beverage Intern
Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager

Requirements: This position requires an organized, detail-oriented and personable applicant who wants to work with a first-class professional baseball organization in hosting 51 home games(May through August) and a variety of special events. The candidate should be a hardworking, team-player who is seeking an opportunity for growth within the baseball industry. The Food & Beverage Intern will work with the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee food & beverage operations at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. The Food & Beverage Intern will also assist the Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager. The applicant will play a key role in creating a positive fan experience at Joe Bruno Stadium.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Check inventory daily and create a plan to distribute products.
  • Receive and put away orders in an organized manner of up to 250 cases of product at a time.
  • Brainstorm and troubleshooting standard operating procedures(SOPs) for each food and beverage area.
  • Responsible for checking that the payroll of the food and beverage team is entered correctly and fixing any inaccuracies.
  • Assist with keeping up to date SOPs for each kiosk, concessions, and picnic area.
  • Responsible for distributing all picnic and event information for each day. Prior to events, checking with colleagues and guests that all information is properly documented.
  • Proactively troubleshoot issues as they arise within the Food & Beverage team.
  • Assist with scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels.
  • Research and create plans for new ways to drive revenue. Review pricing and check for proper costs.
  • Assist with training of colleagues and creating training materials.
  • Be willing and able to work in any area of food and beverage.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper standards are being maintained.
  • Completing all other duties as assigned by the President, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Food & Beverage Manager.

Compensation & Schedule: This position can include school credit and will also be paid an hourly wage. This position includes a base schedule of 40 hours per week with some overtime scheduled during the season for games and events. The schedule will vary with mornings, evenings, and weekends depending on the business needs.
