Skylands Stadium is seeking a full-time Social Media Manager to lead, create, and execute the digital presence for one of New Jersey’s most dynamic sports and entertainment destinations. This role spans professional baseball with the Sussex County Miners and a growing calendar of large-scale seasonal and special events, including the Christmas Light Show, Jack O’Lantern Experience, Champions Way Sports Academy, Food Truck Festivals, and other concerts, festivals, and community events hosted at Skylands Stadium throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Leadership & ManagementOwn and manage Skylands Stadium’s social media presence across Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Support and amplify the digital presence of the Sussex County Miners and all stadium-hosted events and properties
- Plan, create, schedule, and publish daily content including live event coverage, short-form video, behind-the-scenes access, promotions, theme nights, seasonal experiences, and community initiatives
- Serve as the digital voice of Skylands Stadium by engaging with fans through comments, messages, trends, and timely interactions
- Collaborate closely with marketing, promotions, partnerships, operations, and game-day staff to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
- Integrate sponsor recognition and sponsored activations seamlessly into social content across events
Content Creation, Video Editing & Event Execution
- Capture high-quality photo and video content during Miners games, stadium events, festivals, seasonal experiences, and community appearances
- Edit and produce short-form video content optimized for each platform (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, X clips, etc.)
- Lead the effort to identify, capture, and deliver the best moments of each event, including on-field action, live entertainment, fan interactions, immersive experiences, and behind-the-scenes storytelling
- Create visual storytelling assets that elevate the Skylands Stadium and Miners brands
- Develop creative concepts, captions, and platform-specific storytelling approaches tailored to different audiences and events
- Organize and upload all content to a shared Google Drive accessible to office staff and partners
- Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, tone, and voice across Skylands Stadium and its properties
Intern Team Leadership & Development
- Work closely with the social media intern team during games and events
- Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure full coverage of action, fan engagement, and key moments across the stadium
- Guide interns on what to capture, how to capture it, and how to think about storytelling in real time
- Help develop interns’ skills in content creation, video capture, editing, and live-event storytelling
- Review and curate intern-generated content to ensure quality, consistency, and brand alignment
Strategy, Analytics & Growth
- Track and analyze performance metrics including engagement, reach, growth, and video performance across platforms
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries for the marketing team
- Identify trends, cultural moments, and platform shifts to inform future content strategies
- Use data-driven insights to continually refine and elevate the digital presence of Skylands Stadium and its events
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media for a brand, organization, sports team, or entertainment property
- Strong video editing and content creation skills (short-form video experience required)
- Experience leading or mentoring interns or junior staff is a plus, but not required
- Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, and audience behavior
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and event days
- Highly organized, creative, and proactive with strong attention to detail
- Sports, entertainment, or live-event experience preferred
