Job Summary
The Sussex County Miners are seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join the maintenance team at Skylands Stadium. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for fans, players, and staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in keeping a facility operating at a high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of stadium facilities, including seating areas, concourses, restrooms, and exterior grounds
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, tents, signage, and other equipment
- Complete minor repairs such as basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of the ballpark before, during, and after games/events
- Monitor facility conditions and report any safety concerns or needed repairs
- Assist with field maintenance tasks as needed
- Support other departments to ensure smooth game day and event operations
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance, facilities, or custodial experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to operate basic tools and equipment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Availability for all home games and stadium events is strongly preferred
Compensation
- Hourly pay based on experience
