Skylands Stadium is in the middle of something big.

What started as a professional baseball venue has grown into a year-round destination for sports, festivals, and large-scale live entertainment. Between the Sussex County Miners season, signature seasonal festivals, and an expanding calendar of stand-alone events, Skylands Stadium is quickly becoming a place where there’s always something happening — and we’re just getting started.

We are seeking an Event Coordinator who is energized by growth, excited by building something special, and motivated by the idea of creating experiences that thousands of people will enjoy.

Position Overview

This is a creator-forward, hands-on role for someone who wants to help shape the future of Skylands Stadium.

The Event Coordinator will play a key role in bringing new events to life — from sourcing and pitching fresh ideas to executing them at a high level. In addition to launching stand-alone events, this role supports some of the region’s most attended seasonal attractions, including the Sussex County Miners baseball season, the Jack O’Lantern Festival, and the Christmas Light Show & Christmas Village.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and execute new stand-alone events
that expand Skylands Stadium’s event calendar and audience
  • Take event concepts from idea to execution, managing all operational details along the way
  • Support the Sussex County Miners season through game-day and promotional event coordination
  • Lead the planning and executing large-scale seasonal events, including the Food Truck Festival, Jack O’Lantern Festival,l and Christmas Light Show & Village
  • Coordinate event logistics such as timelines, vendors, staffing, layouts, permits, and run-of-show documentation
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, sponsors, and vendors
  • Be present on-site during events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Continuously look for ways to elevate the guest experience and grow events year over year


Qualifications
Demonstrated experience creating, managing, and executing successful events
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills
  • Ability to stay calm, flexible, and solutions-focused in fast-paced live environments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours when events demand it
