Are you energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic? The Boomers are looking to fill the biggest shoes in the ballpark for Coop The Boomer. The Boomers mascot is known throughout the Chicago community and is responsible for entertaining and exciting fans of all ages at every game. As Coop, the person must interact well with children, be animated, and most importantly, love to have fun. Coop is the ultimate symbol of the Boomers team spirit. You must keep a positive attitude, be in good health and able to sustain long periods of time in the heat.
Responsibilities:
- Be the ultimate symbol of team spirit for the Schaumburg Boomers
- Attend all scheduled mascot appearances and games
- Perform as the mascot in an appropriate manner (photos, signatures, dancing, etc.)
- Mainly event appearances through the season and winter.
- Report to the Director of Promotions for all activations.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous mascot experience preferred, but not required
- Willing and able to work irregular and late hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Willing and able to travel for events in the Chicagoland Area
- Energy to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable environment
- Ability to perform in costume for long periods of time, possibly in high heat and humidity
