Food & Beverage Administrator – Summer Internship

The Ottawa Titans are hiring an eager-to-learn, responsible and hardworking Food & Beverage Administrator as part of its 2026 Summer Internship Program. This is a paid, full-time seasonal position beginning in April and ending at the conclusion of the baseball season.
 
The selected candidate will play a key role in coordinating Food Services operations, helping deliver an outstanding experience for guests, staff, and players at the ballpark. The candidate will report to the Director of Food Services and General Manager and will have an opportunity to gain valuable skills relating to food and beverage services, restaurant management and operation.
 
 Responsibilities
  • Support preseason preparation by organizing menus/signage, updating training materials, testing equipment, and helping set up POS and online ordering systems.
  • Assist with staff onboarding, scheduling, payroll inputs, and maintaining accurate staff lists across internal platforms.
  • Help clean, stock, and prepare all concession areas, suites, and kitchens to ensure readiness for each homestand.
  • Manage guest communications by responding to calls/emails, handling pre-orders, and supporting day-of service needs in a timely manner
  • Coordinate game day operations, including running pre-order documents, monitoring group/birthday changes, and assisting with guest relations.
  • Work closely with the F&B team before and after games to review needs, repairs, and operational updates.
  • Assist with inventory counts, product ordering, concessionaire reporting, and ongoing quality-control checks.
  • Support non-gameday operations such as scheduling, staff availability reminders, tip-out assistance, and event preparation.
  • Participate in postseason shutdown, cleanup, equipment organization, and end-of-season reporting, if required
  • Update and maintain process documents, checklists, and training materials throughout the season.
  • Other duties as assigned

 Requirements
  • Desire to work in the sports/entertainment or food services industry 
  • Willingness and ability to work a variable schedule including late nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed, including all Titans home games, if required.
  • Bilingual (French & English) an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with guests, staff, and partners.
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused
  • Proficient in Excel with the ability to create, organize and update spreadsheets
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new processes, technology, and operational needs.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address issues in real time.
  • Must possess a valid Smart Serve certification prior to start of employment
  • Canadian citizenship/residency or valid work permit

 Education and Experience
  • Pursuing a degree or equivalent in related field (Culinary, Restaurant Management, Sports Management, etc.)
  • Experience in food service, events, or hospitality an asset
