The Mississippi Mud Monsters are seeking high-energy individuals to bring our mascot to life during the 2025 season. As a Mascot Performer, you’ll help create unforgettable memories for fans of all ages through in-game entertainment, community appearances, and larger-than-life antics. This is a part-time seasonal role that runs through the duration of the 2025 season only.

MASCOT PERFORMER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform as the official mascot of the Mississippi Mud Monsters at home games, community events, and select sponsor appearances
· Create a fun, animated, and welcoming environment for fans while in costume
· Interact with fans on the concourse, in the stands, and on the field during in-game promotions
· Work closely with the game entertainment team to support skits, pre-planned bits, and spontaneous moments of joy
· Attend off-site events as a representative of the Mud Monsters, including school visits, parades, and sponsor functions
· Take direction and collaborate on new ways to creatively grow the mascot’s personality and presence
· Assist with mascot maintenance (costume care, transportation, etc.)
· Assist with non-performance tasks as assigned during games and events

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
· Have fun and bring the swamp to life!
· Be reliable, on time, and prepared for all appearances
· Help build excitement and energy throughout the ballpark
· Maintain professionalism while in costume and backstage
· Assist with stadium cleanliness and presentation as needed
· Participate in tarp pulls – may include non-game days, weekends, or holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Outgoing personality with a passion for performance and fan interaction
· Must be able to work in a costume for extended periods (heat tolerance and physical stamina required)
· Prior experience in mascot performance, theater, dance, improv, or sports entertainment preferred
· Must be available for most Mud Monsters home games and community events
· Must be 18 years or older and have reliable transportation
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally (non-verbal performance and coordination with staff)
· Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and move freely in costume, including dancing, jumping, and running short distances
· Must be flexible with schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
· Creativity, enthusiasm, and a great sense of humor required
