Manager, Ticket Operations
About the Mud Monsters
We are Mississippi’s brand-new professional baseball team, making our mark in the Frontier League. We don’t do boring. We do teal-dripping chaos, loud nights under the lights, and ballpark memories that stick. But here’s the kicker: this isn’t just baseball. Trustmark Park is transforming into a year-round hub of entertainment, anchored by The Southern Lights — Central Mississippi’s premier holiday festival. When you sell here, you’re not just booking groups for a summer night at the ballpark, you’re creating year-round experiences at the region’s top venue.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a ticketing pro who isn’t just about scanning barcodes — you see ticketing as the backbone of sales. You love building systems that work, analyzing data, and making sure every fan has a smooth entry — but you also love the rush of closing deals and hitting commission goals. If you’ve used a complex ticketing system before, TIXR will feel like a walk in the park (literally). We can teach you the platform — what we need from you is the drive to sell, the attention to detail to manage inventory, and the leadership to keep the box office running tight.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the System: Build, manage, and maintain all ticketed events in TIXR — games, The Southern Lights, and special events. (Never used TIXR? No problem. If you can handle bigger systems, you’ll pick this up fast.)
- Sell, Sell, Sell: This isn’t just ops — you’ll have your own sales goals and commission upside. You’ll prospect, pitch, and close on season tickets, mini plans, and groups.
- Support the Sales Team: Partner with account executives and group sellers to process orders, manage seat inventory, and fulfill client needs.
- Box Office Leader: Run the show on game days and event days — staffing, training, and keeping the lines moving.
- Customer Hero: Handle will-call, reprints, premium service requests, and make sure every fan has a seamless ticketing experience.
- Data & Reporting: Provide clean reports on ticket sales, revenue, and attendance. Use that data to help the sales team spot opportunities and drive strategy.
- Upsell Culture: Train and motivate box office/game day staff to upsell tickets and deliver Monster-level service.
- Keep It Clean: Stay on top of payment follow-ups, reconciliation, donation requests, and fulfillment.
What We Need From You
- Ticketing experience required (sports/entertainment preferred).
- TIXR familiarity is a bonus, but not required — if you’ve mastered a more complex system, we can teach you this one.
- At least 2–3 years in ticket operations or sales.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills — you catch the details others miss.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and ticketing/CRM reporting.
- Sales-driven mindset with a proven ability to hit or exceed goals.
- Customer service skills — you know how to turn a problem into a positive experience.
- Flexible schedule — nights, weekends, holidays, and the occasional rain delay.
Perks of the Swamp
- Competitive base salary + aggressive commission.
- Health insurance.
- 401(k) with matching.
- Unlimited PTO (with manager approval).
- Free Mud Monsters swag and the pride of being the one who makes ticketing the engine of our revenue.
