North Jersey Pro Baseball LLC will operate a storied independent minor league baseball team in 2026 that will be committed to delivering competitive, exciting, family-friendly baseball experiences while building deep connections with the diverse Paterson and North Jersey communities.

Position Overview
The Director of Marketing & Communications will lead the team’s efforts to grow the brand, engage fans, and drive ticket and sponsorship revenue through innovative marketing strategies and effective communications. This role is responsible for the team’s digital presence, including the official website and social media channels, as well as the development and execution of marketing campaigns that enhance the fan experience and strengthen the team’s community presence.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plans to increase ticket sales, grow sponsorship value, and enhance brand visibility.
  • Plan and execute targeted campaigns for theme nights, promotions, and community events.
  • Collaborate with ticketing and sponsorship teams to create integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the team’s advertising budget and media placements.
Digital & Website Management
  • Oversee and manage the Team’s official website, ensuring timely updates on schedules, promotions, rosters, news, and ticketing.
  • Lead the creation of  engaging digital content (graphics, video, and written) to promote games, players, and community events.
  • Optimize website performance for fan engagement, ticket sales, and SEO.
  • Monitor analytics to track engagement and adjust strategies accordingly.
Communications & Public Relations
  • Serve as the point of contact for media relations and coordinate press releases, game recaps, and announcements.
  • Manage team messaging across all platforms to ensure consistency and professionalism.
  • Build strong relationships with local media, community organizations, and business partners.
  • Support game-day operations with public address scripts, video board messaging, and fan engagement content.
Brand Development & Fan Engagement
  • Maintain and strengthen the team’s brand identity across digital, print, and in-stadium platforms.
  • Drive fan engagement initiatives both in-venue and online.
  • Collaborate with the community relations team to amplify outreach programs.
  • Support merchandise marketing and branding opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media (sports/entertainment industry preferred).
  • Proficiency in website management (WordPress, Drupal, or similar CMS).
  • Strong digital skills including social media management, content creation, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, game-day driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)  welcomed.
  • Paterson Native a plus.
