The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team based at ForeFront Field in Avon, Ohio, just 18 miles west of Cleveland. We compete in the Frontier League (rebranding for the 2027 season to the National Association of Professional Baseball), a proud MLB Partner League, and have brought a family-friendly, fan-oriented experience to Northeast Ohio since 2009. As Lorain County’s only professional sports franchise, the Lake Erie Crushers are the largest economic driver in Lorain County, hosting more than 200 events per year that include over 50 baseball games, concerts, charity functions, and other events that bring the community together. Len Komoroski is the Crushers Chairman and Managing Partner, and the team is led by President Vic Gregovits. Jared Lemieux, a Maine Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, is in his fourth season as field manager. 

The Manager of Marketing & Fan Experience is a full-time position that will drive game presentation, promotions, social media, community outreach, and support overall team and ballpark marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for ensuring event attendees have a memorable experience while fostering brand affinity for the Lake Erie Crushers and our partner organizations. The Manager of Marketing & Fan Experience will be an integral part of the management team and will support our focus on building a top-tier organization and will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Prioritize fun, creativity, and amplify the team brand in everything we do. 
  • Lead the development, scripting and execution of all in-stadium programming for the Lake Erie Crushers, including, but not limited to, pre-game, in-game and post-game production and special events. 
  • Serve as the lead show caller for the Crushers and for selected special events. 
  • Oversee all technical aspects of the in-stadium production, including the scoreboard and sound. 
  • Develop and execute theme and promotional night concepts designed to drive single game and group ticket sales. Manage the process of executing these elements across the organization and vendor partnerships. 
  • Focus on revenue-driving initiatives with a priority on ticket sales, supporting partnership sales and merchandise. 
  • Actively support the creative concepting and implementation of corporate partner activation focused on driving value, exposure and authentic integration into team events and assets. 
  • Oversee and support the development of the mascot’s community-based appearances, targeting community outreach and alignment to organizational sales and brand initiatives. 
  • Manage and support game day team members, including, but not limited to PA announcers, hosts, videoboard managers and game day interns and staff. 
  • Supervise and mentor part time and intern team members (content creators, promotional crews, DJs, anthem singers, mascots, special guests, etc.) during events and non-event initiatives. 
  • Conduct year-round recruiting, hiring and training marketing interns for an array of roles. 
  • Fully activate game day promotions and create strong alignment with all colleagues and partners that can help to amplify our promotional messaging.  
  • Be in tune with pop culture and work to capitalize on opportunities quickly. 
  • Activate the Baseball Boulevard cul-de-sac and in-ballpark entertainment areas to create a strong entertainment-based atmosphere. 
  • Develop, manage and execute the social media strategy in support of the Lake Erie Crushers, ballpark events, and key organizational initiatives.  
  • Support traditional and digital advertising campaigns aimed at driving brand awareness and conversion and managing third-party media partnerships. Track performance, analyze results, and optimize tactics for maximum impact. 
  • Support and cultivate the organization database with a focus on growth and retention. Grow the existing database through marketing promotions and data capture tactics and retain the current fans through relevant, personalized marketing communications.  Develop data capture strategy for all visitors for ForeFront Field. 
  • Support organizational email, SMS and SEO initiatives, and organizational media partnerships. 
  • Manage baseball and event integration into market-wide digital calendars, develop partnerships with digital community groups, and develop partnerships with influencers and influencer groups to maximize team and event visibility. 
  • Build and foster collaborative relationships with internal teams. Stay proactively informed about new initiatives, programs, and other organization-wide events that should be elevated by marketing and in-game activation and provide actionable recommendations to achieve the goal. 
  • Create content and partner with content creators and interns to manage the design, timing, and delivery of visual assets and motion graphics for in-stadium, exterior marquee, social media, and broadcast use and integration. 
  • Manage annual budgets and vendor partnerships. 
  • Drive innovation in fan engagement through emerging technologies, storytelling formats, and immersive in-venue experiences. 
  • Support the development, maintenance, and activation of the organizational sales and marketing calendar as a key guide to our marketing and communications strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining an updated list of annual community events and other key community timelines (youth baseball schedule, Spring Breaks, etc.) and remaining engaged with sales initiatives and potential storylines that could benefit from a marketing and communications approach, posting and managing the team’s social media accounts. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing, preferably within a sports or entertainment environment. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, including attendance and leadership at all Lake Erie Crushers home games and special events. 
  • Strong team player and self-starter. 
  • Strong project management, planning, and budgeting skills. 
  • Self-motivated, TEAM-oriented mindset. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze current business. opportunities and implement recommended solutions. 
  • Excellent leadership, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays as required. 
  • Driven to succeed and overcome obstacles through hard work and determination. 
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing or related major is preferred.
