We deliver big-league fun with small-town charm, creating unforgettable nights at Slammers Stadium for families, friends, and fans across Joliet and the greater Chicagoland area. Position Overview
As a Ticket Sales Intern, you’ll play a key role in helping the Slammers hit our 2026 ticketing goals. This hands-on internship gives you real experience in every part of a professional baseball team’s ticketing operation — sales, service, reporting, game day operations, and fan engagement. You’ll work directly with the Director of Ticket Sales, supporting both sales and operations while helping us deliver packed stands and memorable fan experiences.
This is an unpaid internship, but we’re happy to approve volunteer hours or college credit.
Applicants must be available for all 51 Slammers home games/events, as well as office hours when the team is on the road (8 a.m.–4 p.m.).
What You’ll Do
- Prospect, research, and qualify future ticket buyers
- Make outbound sales calls to help drive group outings, flex plans, and season ticket sales
- Assist with building and analyzing sales reports
- Create and distribute ticketing and sales materials
- Work in SCORE CRM and TicketReturn to track leads, orders, and follow-ups
- Assist with all game day ticket operations, including will call, VIP check-ins, and fan service
- Help fulfill and process ticket orders efficiently
- Support Slammers community appearances and grassroots events
- Promote the Slammers brand across Joliet with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Bring energy, positivity, and a team-first attitude every day
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Ticket Sales
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in a college or university
- Able to work a majority or all of the 51 home games plus select community events
- Available for office hours on non-game days (8 a.m.–4 p.m.)
- Familiar with SCORE CRM and TicketReturn (or comfortable learning similar platforms)
- Previous sports or box office experience is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing ballpark environment
- Excellent communicator with strong customer service instincts
- Motivated, hardworking, and ready to learn
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Have reliable transportation to downtown Joliet
