Joliet Slammers Promotions Internship (Summer 2026)

The Joliet Slammers are Joliet’s hometown professional baseball team, competing in the Frontier League — a Partner League of Major League Baseball. Position Overview: The Joliet Slammers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern, you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Slammers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games, theme nights, customer service, community outreach, and other opportunities across the organization.
Every day is different, but a typical day might include:
- Represent the Joliet Slammers organization, partners, and sponsors with professionalism, pride, and enthusiasm at all times
- Display outstanding teamwork, communication skills, and an energetic personality
- Planning and executing all aspects of promotions and associated tasks
- Theme nights, on-field entertainment, production, and more
- Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment, especially pertaining to theme nights
- Willing to put yourself out there
- Dancing, cheering, engaging with the crowd
- Assisting with production setup for each game
- Assisting with PA scripts, video board, music, etc
- Assisting with stocking, cleaning, inventory, etc
- Attending various community events/parades
- Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; it’s part of the all-inclusive experience!
The ideal candidate:
- Are currently attending college
- Are able to work all 51 home games and additional off-site events
- Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
- Have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task work environment
- Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills
- Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic
- Strong desire to work in a team environment
