The Joliet Slammers are seeking a reliable and energetic Camera Operator to join our game day production team for the 2026 upcoming season. This part-time/seasonal position offers hands-on experience in live sports production within a professional baseball environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate broadcast and/or in-stadium cameras during home games
- Capture live game action, crowd shots, promotional elements, and sponsor features
- Follow direction from the Director or Production Manager during live gameplay
- Assist with camera setup, breakdown, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain steady, professional-quality shots throughout the event
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic understanding of camera operation and shot composition
- Ability to take direction and react quickly in a live sports environment
- Strong focus and awareness of game flow
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior live sports or event production experience
- Familiarity with broadcast camera systems
- College coursework or degree in communications, broadcasting, or related field preferred but not required
