Position Overview:

The Accounting Intern will support the Manager of Business Operations during the team’s active season, assisting with daily accounting tasks, financial recordkeeping, and reporting. This entry-level role is ideal for a student or recent graduate seeking hands-on experience in sports finance and accounting operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.

  • Help prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

  • Support reconciliation of bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.

  • Organize and maintain financial files, invoices, and documentation.

  • Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems.

  • Assist with tracking team-related expenses, ticketing revenue, and game-day financial activity.

  • Help with audit preparation and other seasonal financial projects as needed.

  • Perform general administrative support for the accounting department.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google; experience with Quickbooks is a plus.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.

  • Willingness to work a seasonal schedule, including potential evenings or weekends during peak periods or game days.
