Position Summary
The Gateway Grizzlies are seeking a Public Address (PA) Announcer to serve as the official in-game voice of Gateway Grizzlies baseball. This role is responsible for accurate, timely, and professional announcements that support the flow and integrity of the game. The PA Announcer works closely with the emcee and production team in a fast-paced live sports environment. This is a part time/seasonal position from April to September.
Responsibilities
- Deliver live, game-related announcements including lineups, player introductions, scoring updates, substitutions, sponsor reads, and required messages.
- Maintain proper timing and pacing aligned with baseball flow.
- Ensure correct pronunciation of names and adherence to league and team guidelines.
- Maintain a professional, consistent, and family-friendly tone.
- Coordinate closely with the emcee, production team, and official scorer for accuracy.
Requirements
- Prior PA, broadcast, theater, or sports announcing experience required.
- Strong vocal clarity, stamina, and attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of baseball rules, terminology, and game situations.
- Ability to remain composed in a live environment.
- Availability for all Gateway Grizzlies home games; nights, weekends, and holidays required.
