Position Summary 
The In-Game Host is the primary on-field and in-venue host responsible for energizing the crowd, delivering scripted and live announcements, and driving fan engagement throughout Gateway Grizzlies home games. This role requires strong public speaking skills, quick thinking, and the ability to command attention in a live sports entertainment environment. This is a part time/seasonal position from April until September. 
 
Position Responsibilities 
  • Serve as the on-field host and voice of in-game promotions, contests, and fan engagement activities at all home Grizzlies games in the 2026 season. 
  • Deliver scripted announcements, sponsor reads, and promotional content clearly and confidently. 
  • Interact with fans of all ages in a fun, family-friendly, and professional manner. 
  • Coordinate closely with the Production Team, Stadium DJ, and Game Operations staff to hit cues and maintain game flow. 
  • Adapt messaging and tone based on crowd energy and game situations. 
  • Represent the Gateway Grizzlies brand positively at all times. 
  • Assist with pre-game, in-game, and post-game entertainment elements as needed. 
  • Ability to work all home games including nights, weekends, and holidays 
 
Experience 
  • Prior experience as an emcee, host, public announcer, performer, or live event presenter preferred. 
  • Strong public speaking and microphone presence. 
  • High energy, outgoing personality with excellent crowd awareness. 
  • Ability to think on your feet and improvise when necessary. 
  • Comfortable performing in front of large crowds. 
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor. 
 
Compensation 
  • Starts at $20/hour
